Squad Overview: Team Ice Infinity
Team Ice Infinity
- Squad Level: Intermediate
- Age Range: 14-21
- Coaches’ Names: Emily Potter and Jemma Bowerford
Competition & Achievements
- Ice Infinity is a Pre-Mixed Age Squad, established in 2024, with the 2024/25 season marking our debut year on the competitive circuit. We were thrilled to perform at events in London, Dumfries, Sheffield, and our home rink in Nottingham. Over the season, we proudly achieved three gold medals across four competitions.
Previous International Experience: As a newly established team, we have not yet competed internationally — but we are excited to continue building towards that opportunity in future seasons.
Standout achievement or proudest moment: Our proudest moment so far came at the Steel City Trophy in Sheffield, where we earned a personal best score of 50.54 — setting a new GB record for the highest score ever achieved by a Pre-Mixed Age team. This milestone was a remarkable accomplishment and the perfect way to celebrate our debut season together.
Squad Personality & Team Culture
“Passionate, Fearless and United!”
What makes this squad unique?
Although some of our 16 skaters have only known each other for a short time, we’ve built a wonderful bond both on and off the ice. Our strength lies not just in precision, but in the energy we share, the spirit we carry, and the trust and kindness we show each other every day. This resilience and togetherness set us apart — our unity is our power, and it drives us to keep pushing past challenges as a team.
Highlight of the season so far?
Our proudest highlight was at the Sheffield Steel City Trophy, where we delivered our strongest performance of the season and set a GB record. Celebrating that achievement together was an unforgettable milestone for our debut year.
Team traditions or rituals?
Before every competition, we come together to support one another, lifting each other’s spirits and focusing on skating as one. These moments of connection remind us that our greatest strength is the bond we’ve built as a team. We also all carry a small pack of haribos and enjoy plenty of music in the changing rooms before the competitions to get us going :)
Behind the Scenes
Typical training week (days/hours)
The team usually trains 1–2 hours per week on the ice, focusing on synchronicity, precision, and performance skills.
Off-ice training activities (strength, dance, etc.)
To support our skating, we commit to at least 1 hour of off-ice training each week, alongside 30 minutes of flexibility classes to build strength and range of movement. We also take a 1-hour ballet class weekly, which helps us develop posture, artistry, and flow that translates beautifully onto the ice.
How do you prepare for competitions?
Preparation is all about consistency and teamwork. We balance focused on-ice rehearsals with off-ice conditioning and flexibility training, while ballet sharpens our expression and presentation. In the lead-up to competitions, we come together as a team to refine every detail and build confidence, making sure we step onto the ice united and ready to perform at our best.

Other media activity
A couple of our team members were recently photographed taking part in a cheque handover for a whopping £1,072. The funds were raised through competitions and team fundraisers by all of our teams at NSSA and were donated to Emmanuel House, our local support centre for aiding the homeless. This was a proud moment for the team, highlighting our commitment not just to skating but to giving back to our community.
