• 2024/25 season: A record breaking season for Icicles Junior, winning gold at Skate London, Trophy D’Ecosse, Steel City Trophy and the British Championships. Breaking 100 points for the first time ever for our Free Programme, setting a new GB record of 102.87 and a new GB record of 56.05 for our Short Programme. 
•  Any previous international experience: 11 x Junior Worlds Competitors
• Standout achievement or proudest moment: Securing 10th place for our short program and 11th overall at the World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships in Gothenburg Sweden in March 2025, breaking the GB Junior Record for the scores for both the short and free programme and for overall placing.

What makes this squad unique?

A number of us have been together since we competed in the Pre-Juveile category.  We love spending time together on and off the ice and have regular team Icicles parties and sleepovers.

Highlight of the season so far?

We love our new music and programmes and can not wait to perform them at our first competition in November.  Our choreography camps, where we create our new programmes, are always a highlight (even though we need to sleep for a week afterwards!).

Team traditions or rituals?

Each season we have a new anthem that we play in the changing room and dance to as we get ready to compete.

We all have matching crocs and each season we have new jibbitz relating to our program. 

Typical training week (days/hours)
We generally train on a Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and have about 5 hours of ice a week.

Off-ice training activities (strength, dance, etc.)

We have regular off ice sessions, as well as fitness and strength training, ballet and flexibility sessions.

How do you prepare for competitions? 

We try and enter a competition bubble and just focus on ourselves and our programme. We like listening to music and playing lots of fun games as we warm up to shake off our nerves.
